A Foundation for Life…
With dedicated preschool areas for 3 year olds, we plan all activities and learning using the Government’s Foundation Phase guidance.
The Foundation Phase is being introduced across all schools in Wales for 3-7 year olds so we work hard to make sure that your child is ready for big school by placing greater emphasis on a more natural approach of learning by doing.
Three of our nurseries (Singleton, Bridgend and Glangwili) are registered with ESTYN, the school inspectors and some children may therefore be eligible for a government funded nursery place.
With a ratio of one adult to every eight children, we focus on developing language and listening skills while promoting confidence in reading and writing. We also encourage the development of self-esteem and a positive approach to new experiences with plenty of fun activities that children love including drawing, sorting, counting and building.
The garden is used as an outdoor classroom for all curriculum activities – a busy day with plenty of fresh air and new challenges really does get children off to the best start in life. Getting ready for big school has never been so much fun!
